<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">A sociedade gaúcha está chocada com o crime da Tristeza, em Porto Alegre, onde uma família, aparentemente feliz e com boa situação financeira, foi destroçada. A desconfiança de que o bioquímico Ênio Carnetti seja o autor do duplo homicídio - o de sua mulher Márcia e do único filho do casal, Matheus, de cinco anos - causa perplexidade. Após o brutal crime, Ênio tentou suicídio atirando-se da ponte do Guaíba, onde foi resgatado por pescadores. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">O elemento perturbador em casos como este é a ocorrência de uma identificação das pessoas com este tipo de núcleo familiar, com todos os indicadores exteriores de que seria "normal", ou seja, uma família como qualquer outra de classe média. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Ao acompanhar o caso, eu procurava um elemento presente em todos os casos de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">violência doméstica</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">: a pista dada pelo agressor de que algo mais grave poderia ocorrer. No referido caso, foram as ameaças ouvidas pela empregada da casa e relatada pela própria vítima aos colegas de trabalho. Pelo visto, não foram levadas a sério. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">É necessário alertar para aquilo que nós, do movimento de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">, vimos fazendo há muito tempo: a ameaça é um indicador importante, assim como agressões verbais e outros tipos de violência. Dificilmente o homicídio é o primeiro e último gesto. Em razão disso, quando ameaçada, a mulher tem que acreditar que algo mais sério pode ocorrer e denunciar. Essa atitude pode prevenir o pior. A inação, muitas vezes, leva à morte. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">No que respeita à violência de gênero, sabemos que ela ocorre em todas as classes sociais. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Uma das melhores campanhas feitas pelo</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Conselho Nacional dos Direitos da Mulher</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> continha fotos de homens bem vestidos e de boa aparência em torno de uma mesa e a pergunta: você desconfiaria de que ele é um agressor? Pois é. A campanha não usou fotos masculinas estereotipadas demonstrando hostilidade, ou sinais de agressividade. Pelo contrário, mostrou que a violência pode não se expressar no convívio social, nem nas aparências.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Hoje a</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Lei Maria da Penha</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> é bastante completa ao abranger todas as formas de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">violência doméstica</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> e familiar, respaldando as</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> através de medidas protetivas que incluem a retirada do agressor do ambiente doméstico . </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Ao ignorar as ameaças, a mulher pode se tornar a próxima vítima. </FONT></P>
