<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial">O</FONT><B> <FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial">estupro</FONT></B><FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial"> ocorreu no dia 12 de setembro, na região do Strawberry Fields, monumento ao músico assassinado dos Beatles, John Lennon. A vítima, uma fotógrafa e observadora de aves, não teve o nome divulgado. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial">Seu agressor, David Mitchell, foi indiciado por</FONT><B> <FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial">estupro</FONT></B><FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial">, roubo e agressão sexual, informou o promotor de Manhattan Cyrus Vance. Mitchell é suspeito de ter atacado outras duas</FONT><B> <FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial"> em Manhattan, no mesmo dia do incidente com a idosa. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT COLOR="#000000" SIZE=4 FACE="Arial">A vítima de 73 anos já havia encontrado Mitchell semanas antes, quando o fotografou se masturbando no Central Park e se recusou a apagar a foto, como o homem exigia. </FONT></P>
