O Estado tem a maior taxa de assassinatos de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> do país -o dobro da média nacional. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Com cerca de cinco centímetros e um chip interno igual aos de celulares, o aparelho poderá ser levado na bolsa para, quando acionado, enviar uma mensagem à polícia e à Justiça alertando, por exemplo, a aproximação de um potencial agressor.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Caberá à própria mulher apertar o botão em situações que considerar de perigo. A mensagem dará à polícia, pelo sistema GPS, as coordenadas de onde ela está.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>

<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">O público-alvo são as</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> já protegidas por medidas judiciais, previstas na</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Lei Maria da Penha</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">, como as que determinam que o homem saia do lar ou mantenha uma distância mínima delas. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Nos últimos cinco anos, a Justiça do Estado concedeu 13,6 mil medidas protetivas a</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> que se queixaram de agressões ou ameaças.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>

<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Segundo o Mapa da Violência 2012, estudo feito em todo o país a partir de dados de homicídios computados pelo SUS (Sistema Único de Saúde), o Espírito Santo é o Estado com a maior taxa de assassinatos de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">: 9,8 casos para cada 100 mil</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. A média no Brasil é de 4,6 homicídios por 100 mil. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">"A</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Lei Maria da Penha</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> é boa, mas costumo dizer que por um pequeno cochilo do legislador faltou [prever] a fiscalização [do cumprimento] das medidas protetivas", afirma a juíza Hermínia Azoury, responsável pela coordenadoria de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">violência doméstica</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">"O juiz determina ao agressor: você não pode chegar a menos de 500 metros da mulher. Mas o juiz vai fiscalizar? Ou o promotor vai? É inviável, tem que ter um mecanismo", diz a juíza. </FONT></P>
