<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Vitória (ES) registra uma taxa de 13,2 homicídios por 100 mil</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">, índice que fica em 4,6 no país e 5,3 no conjunto das capitais. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Enquanto o governo capixaba atribui o número alarmante ao tráfico de drogas, o Judiciário aponta como causa a</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">violência doméstica</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> e de gênero.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> O resultado dessa "bateção de cabeça" são medidas distintas de enfrentamento e um problema social ainda longe de uma solução. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Daiane, Ana e Maria foram mortas no centro de Vitória no início do ano passado. Segundo a polícia, as três eram prostitutas. De início, sinalizou-se para mais um caso de violência de gênero. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Mas, após apuração, a Delegacia de Homicídios e Proteção à Mulher concluiu que elas foram vítimas de traficantes, pois vendiam crack em área "que era deles". </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">O caso resume a conclusão geral da polícia, após dois anos e meio de trabalho dessa delegacia, a primeira do país especializada em homicídios de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">"Achamos que iríamos prender maridos e namorados frustrados, e, no final, estamos prendendo traficantes", diz o chefe da unidade, Paulo Antônio Patrocínio. </FONT></P>

<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">"O marido não chega ao homicídio no primeiro dia. Há todo um histórico de violências impunes e omissões do Judiciário e do Executivo", diz o presidente do Tribunal de Justiça do ES, Pedro Rosa. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">O diagnóstico levou o TJ a lançar neste ano o "botão do pânico", mecanismo que permite à mulher avisar a polícia quando o homem contra o qual obteve medida protetiva se aproximar.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Portátil, ele envia à polícia e à Justiça, por mensagem, dados de localização da vítima, para socorro rápido. </FONT></P>

<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Obstetra, empresária e mãe de quatro filhos, Sofia (nome fictício), 47, foi casada com um médico por 13 anos, agredida durante 11 e espancada na frente dos filhos nos últimos três anos de relação.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">"Eu ia ser a próxima vítima. Não ia passar de 2006", diz, sete anos após a separação. O marido tentou jogá-la da cobertura do prédio de luxo em que moravam em Vila Velha, na Grande Vitória. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Mas o estopim que a levou à separação foi outro: o ex-marido ergueu a filha mais velha pelo pescoço.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">"Perguntei: "O que está acontecendo?". Minha filha respondeu: "Nada, mãe. A senhora não vai fazer nada mesmo." Foi a primeira vez em que me senti culpada por eles", diz sobre os quatro filhos, hoje com 14 a 18 anos. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Uma faca suja na mesa, uma pasta de dente esquecida aberta na pia ou um dia estressante no trabalho poderiam ser "razões" para as agressões. Mas o ciúme era o motivo real, diz Sofia. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">"Se o papel higiênico rodasse para trás, e não para frente, é porque eu não tinha tido tempo de ver e, no mínimo, havia ficado pendurada no telefone com algum homem", relembra. </FONT></P>
