<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">A polícia da Índia informou neste domingo (17) que 20 homens foram detidos depois que uma turista suíça foi vítima de</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">estupro</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> coletivo. A informação é da agência de notícias AFP. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">De acordo com o oficial de polícia D. K. Arya, ninguém chegou a ser preso acusado pelo crime, mas os homens detidos serão ouvidos em relação ao</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">estupro</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> da turista de 39 anos e a agressão ao marido dela em Madhya Pradesh. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">O embaixador da Suíça na Índia está em contato permamente com o casal agredido e exigiu uma investigação rápida sobre o incidente, informou a AFP. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Segundo a polícia, a suíça e o marido dela estavam percorrendo um longo trajeto de bicicleta e acampando no caminho.</FONT><B></B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Os dois foram atacados por um grupo de sete a oito homens, dos quais quatro participaram do</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">estupro</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. Um celular, um laptop e dinheiro foram roubados. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">O ataque ocorreu três meses após o</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">estupro</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> coletivo de uma estudante de 23 anos em um ônibus em Nova Déli. O caso provocou revolta no país e estimulou o governo a aprovar leis para proteger as</FONT><B> <FONT FACE="Times New Roman">mulheres</FONT></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">. A estudante morreu 13 dias depois da agressão, após ser transferida para um hospital de Cingapura. </FONT></P>
<P ALIGN=LEFT><FONT FACE="Times New Roman">Uma mulher é estuprada a cada 20 minutos na Índia, de acordo com o Escritório Nacional de Registro de Crimes. Mas a polícia estima que apenas 4 a cada 10 casos sejam denunciados.</FONT><B></B><FONT FACE="Times New Roman"> </FONT></P>
